about

Evening Song: Betty Johnson with special guest John Lent

We hope that you, the listener, sincerely enjoy this unique program of original music and prose poetry; we have dedicated this tableau to the expressions inside of our seasonal life moments.
Seasons are like music; they are the vibrations of life. This recording is a celebration of special friendships through music and word.

I would like to thank Zachari Smith for all of his remarkable musical interpretive contributions namely: Bloom, Water, Leaf and Snow. Thank you Brie, Oh my! You are a shiny one! Tami Smith for her always cheerful and ‘fun to be with’ Spoken Voice. Thank you for listening dear Audience; I love that you are hearing Crêpes Suzette in French then English. That’s how we talk in my home town of Montreal. Eric Disero for his Key Work, Lovely! Thank you Jonathan Tromsness. Thank you Joel Gorrie. Thank you Ross McRae. Carol, Julia, Jude; love you Ladies! John Lent whom I have admired for so long and treasure his literary works and the delivery of them; his words always fill my cup. What a privilege to collaborate on this project with you. Neil Fraser, my forever friend who through the years has seen my ‘insides and outs’, always patient in ‘our world’, bracing me with musical gifts. Andrew Smith for his careful recording and production considerations and wonderful ‘mixed and mastered’ skills. Yes, ever since I met you at that backyard BBQ your style and technique have impressed me ever since. What a pleasure playing, writing and collaborating with you Andrew, you really are the mastermind behind this whole project! Finally, a super big thank you for the love and support of my amazing Husband, Ray Koop. Without his beautiful qualities this project may never have taken place. Thank you for your heartfelt poem you wrote for this project and then to hear your Spoken Voice, what a thrill!
